A Letter from Santa

‘Tis the season to be jolly. It is also the season to think of other people that are not as fortunate as us, and to lend a helping hand to these folk. Our organization is preparing for the quickly approaching Christmas Season. We have received an increasing number of families that have lost their homes and their possessions due to house fires during the recent ice storm and unusually cold weather.

This year we are expecting additional children that will be in need of our services due to the impact the Covid-19 Pandemic has had on the families of Oklahoma. Due to the pandemic, we started a new program for feeding the shut-in senior adults that have a need for groceries to supplement the Senior Meal Program from the Senior Citizen Center. For the past 40 weeks we have supplied up to 50 senior citizens of the Minco area with 2 meals on week days, and 3 meals on weekends and holidays.

The challenges of this year have impacted some people’s ability to donate, and that has had a great impact on the budget of our organization. Please consider being a valuable part of our missions with a monetary and/or in-kind donation. We have a great need for toys designed for children from 2 to 10 years of age, art supplies for all ages, and toiletries for teenagers. We encourage monetary donations as that enables us to buy in bulk and obtain discounts, and to address the specific needs of the deserving children and seniors we serve.

Thank you so much for your help this Christmas season!
